Alfons "Al" Brunner

76, of Fox Lake, Former longtime resident of Mt. Prospect, peacefully passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. Born on September 10, 1936, in Chicago, Ill, to John and Theresa (nee Kampitch) Brunner.

Al was an avid, loyal, Blackhawks Hockey Fan,was a "comedian" who joked around all of the time, enjoyed spending time with his cherished granddaughter, Rachel, and was proud of his two sons, Richard and Mark.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Marion; his dear sons, Richard (Jennifer) Brunner of Carterville, Ill., and Mark Brunner of Lincoln, Neb., and many other dear friends.

Al was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation Thursdday Oct. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at K. K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. A 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held Friday Oct. 26, at St. John the Baptist Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg, please go directly to church for the Mass. Interment following at All Saints Cemetery 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, where all will meet at the cemetery office at 1 p.m. for a chapel committal.
