Albert D. Streb
Visitation for Albert D. Streb will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 4, and again from 8:30 until 9 a.m. Friday, March 5, at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, The Chapel on The Lake, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, at St. Peter's Church, 2120 Main St., Spring Grove. Born Jan. 4, 1936, to his parents, Henry and Marion (Dulberg) Streb, after a long battle with cancer he passed away peacefully surrounded by his dear family, on Monday, March 1, 2010. Albert was a 9-year resident of Fox Lake, and a former resident of Palatine. Albert was married to his loving wife, Marian Kortas in 1959. Albert enjoyed traveling, and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. A devoted father, Albert is survived by his children, Jackie (Steve) LeBreck of Cary; Michelle Lomas of Spring Grove; Anne Marie (John) Robinson of Cary and Albert V. (Stacy) Streb of Vernon Hills. Albert was also a proud grandfather to his 11 loving grandchildren, whose ages range from 3-20. Albert cherished and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry.
